Trades Assistant

OPEC is seeking an energised, enthusiastic, outgoing person, with a strong mechanical aptitude to work alongside and support our growing team of Fuel & Tank Technicians. In this role, you will be working in the field, providing first class service to our clients assisting with:

• Integrity testing of fuel tanks and pipework
• Servicing of petroleum equipment
• Tank internal cleaning
• Fuel filtration
• Fuel sampling and reporting
• Fuel system installation
• General fuel system service work

Key Qualities

For this exciting role, you will:

• Be Safety, Quality and Client focussed
• Preferably have some experience in a field-based environment involved in liquid processing and storage systems (pumps, pipes, valves, control systems)
• Preferably, but not essentially, have worked with either a Fitter or Boilermaker.
• Have the ability to travel
• Have a manual driver’s licence
• Have a Construction Safety Card
• Preferably be Confined Spaces and Working Safely at Heights qualified
• Be a great team player
• Be a hard worker who enjoys a varied work day.
