Project details: | The project involved UXO surveillance and UXO remediation together with the removal of 400 cubic metres of asbestos contaminated material. |
Discovery: | The team found four burial pits on the property. In addition to farmland scraps, the pits contained a collection of live and nonlive projectiles, live shrapnel, PIAT ordnance and asbestos. Live rounds were removed from site by Defence for destruction. |
