Synthetic Oil Sorbents are made from melt blown polypropylene and will absorb up to 25 times their own weight in petroleum products.  Oil Sorbents are equally effective in soaking up petroleum based solvents and paints, vegetable oils, and other non-water soluble chemicals. Synthetics are light weight which makes deployment is easy and saves time, money and effort. Synthetic oil sorbents will not absorb water, will float indefinitely, are wringable, dustless, unaffected by temperature, flame resistant and impervious to both rot and mildew. As with all sorbents, care must be taken as the sorbents do not alter the chemical characteristics of the chemical spilt.
